Web Design

Step 1 - Planning

Initial meeting to determine general content and organization of site, discuss your design style, and find examples of existing sites you like.
Some questions for us consider together:
- Who is your intended audience? What impression do you want to create?
- Would you like to frame the design of your site around a particular concept or theme?
- Are there any existing websites you particularly like or dislike? What do you like or dislike about them?

Step 2 - Graphic design

Cogwheel will make mockups (graphical blueprints) of your homepage and a few second-level pages.
Client can request up to 3 rounds of edits to the graphical layout.
At this point, the exact, final content of the site must be determined. Please provide Word files with text for each page and all images, links, PDFs, etc. to be included in the site.

Step 3 - Programming

Cogwheel will write the code for your site and perform a browswer compatibility check to make sure your site displays properly to everyone.
Client can request up to 3 rounds of minor edits.

Step 4 - Publishing

Cogwheel will publish your site online! We will also help viewers find your site by optimizing it for search engine listings and submitting it to search engines.
Cogwheel can make later updates or show you how to use free software to make minor updates yourself.
