Cogwheel Productions provides freelance web and print design from Atlanta, Georgia. We focus on helping you use design to communicate effectively with your audience. We believe that good graphic design is visually appealing, but great graphic design is more than just pretty — it's also functional and smart.

What function does graphic design serve? Your audience's impression of you will be dictated by the information they glean from your website, business card, or print ad. This information travels through two channels. The first carries the information you actually say in words. The second carries the information you don't state directly but is implied by the "look and feel," or the colors, images, and layout.

Great design uses both methods to communicate. It scaffolds the information you want to convey so that it is cleanly organized and intuitive to navigate. In addition, the "look and feel" of a great design set a tone that helps your audience get to know you better. This can tell your audience that you are traditional or innovative, formal or friendly — or all of the above!
